This is an article from the Denver Post which provides some more detail to the sound-bites (type-bites? Is that the typed equivalent?) you hear from environmentalists. While oil and gas is hardly a risk-free or completely clean endeavor, the effects of its development to the land and to the health of those closely involved, either directly or through proximity, are often overstated. That’s not to say we shouldn’t have these conversations. We most certainly should, but they should be upfront and honest, with the goal of getting to the truth rather than driving an agenda.
